Oregon

so, I'm all moved up to Washington. I was there a week, and was invited by Don to come down to Oregon where he is visiting his family.
Jason is all set up with his Grandparents while his dad and stepmom are off on training for the military.
I'm here in Oregon, loving it. I'm 8 miles from the beach, the weather has been mostly beautiful. we've had some light rain, but typically blue skies and partly cloudy.

move coming together easy

well, we are 1 week away from moving now. Jason flies out on Friday morning and Don and I head out driving not long after. We'll arrive in WA on Saturday early evening or so.
My room is all packed, Jason's room is getting there SLOWLY, we have finals week for Jason next week and my last week of term for me too.
Don is going to look over my car this weekend to get it ready for the trip and to hopefully last for awhile.

crazy weeks ahead

packing, school, packing, school, down time, make sure trailer is rented, more packing, family going away party... and just 18 days to get it all done.
Its tough fitting it all in, Jason still wants to hang with friends after school is done, and yet I need him to be here. Its been a fun balancing act while we get things figured out.

its official... Jason and I are heading to Washington state. Jason will be going to live with his Dad and I will be moving in with my Best friend Sandy. I will look for work, and get a few paychecks under my belt before looking for a 2 bedroom place.
I have my room pretty much done, the challenge is getting Jason's room done.
We will send him with a majority of his clothes via the airplane. I'll then bring the rest of his things later. He just needs to decide what is going to dads house, versus what will go into storage until I get a place to call home.

soooo, here's to moving out and, moving forward

BIG changes

Lots of changes coming to our family. J has been wanting to go live up at Dads since last summer. R and I have been talking lots about it, and its been decided that J will go and do just that. He'll fly up at the end of the school year (end of May) this year, and will just stay up there.
I will be moving closer as soon as I can possibly get there. I am trying to figure out how to get up there in August, but its not looking promising. I'm now anticipating it will take a year to get up there.
Yes it will be lots of changes for all of us, but I think this will be a good move for all involved.
will keep you posted.

Words are worse than Sticks and Stones

Saw a story on the news tonight that touched my heart. Jason has dealt with being bullied in Grade school and Jr High. teased, called names, etc...
so proud of this girl for posting such an inspiration, and then seeing those supporters that have posted on Youtube in response to her.

Jason school

January we decided to bring Jason home for school. he was really struggling with this year and the grades kept dropping no matter what we did.
soooo, after much research his dad and I decided on K12

I've struggled keeping him on task, but it all seems to be paying off. His grades are all above a C. whooo hooo :)

I really like K12, and enjoy the flexibility of doing classes in different orders each day, or being able to spread them clear into the evening times if we decide to do that. (not often that happens though).
once all school work is done, he then can go hang out with his friends. we've tried keeping our school hours the same as the regular school hours so that we are done when his friends are done.
It makes it nice that I am home during the day with my daycare.
