Body Worlds 3

J and I went to see the exhibit "Bodyworlds 3" in Downtown SLC, UT. wow, this was amazing and J was completly interested in everything he saw.

Body Worlds is a traveling exhibition of preserved human bodies and body parts that are prepared using a technique called plastination to reveal inner anatomical structures. The exhibition's developer and promoter is a German anatomist named Gunther von Hagens, who invented the plastination technique in the late 1970s at the University of Heidelberg.

It was amazing to see the muscles, organs and everything about the Human body up close and personal.

My heart aches for Cancers Hero's

Cancer really STINKS!

as some of you may or may not know, I have followed the stories of some amazing little heros.
These Heros fight daily against a beast we know as Cancer.
The world is a better place because of these kids, and I'm feel so privilaged that their parents shared their children with the world.
Heaven received two more this week, and my heart is aching. I've known these boys through their families and have followed their earthly journey for over a year now.

Coleman Larson.
He left this world at 10:45 pm (01/05/09) He was 5 years old

he fought HARD until the very end, not wanting to give up, but finally letting go.
Coleman said long ago, "some day I won't need NO more meds or pokes, wight mommy?” No more sweetie. You are free

He leaves behind his Parents and his twin brother Caden.
many Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, cousins, and many many Carepage friends.

and Dante (as posted by his dad..) "went with the gentle strength and iron will he has always displayed during his journey."
With his mom in bed with him holding him, and dad holding his hand and touching mom, they formed a circle...."He took three, maybe 4, more breaths and then simply stopped. There was no struggle, no distress, no pain."
dad goes on "I was so proud of him and grateful for how he faced the end. There were so many ways it could have been much worse."

Daddy loves Dante... the rest is silence. 1/6/2009 8:33am
He was 2 years old

These boys join countless of others that have gone before them... many of whom I've met through the internet.
My tears are falling for two little boys I've never had the privilage of meeting in person, but whom have touched my life beyond belief.

J turns 13 (teenager... YIKES)

So for Birthdays at our house, the Birthday kid gets to pick dinner... go out or what we cook at home. J wanted sizzler tonight, so off we go...
I let the waitress know it was J's 13th birthday, and she brought him this HUGE root beer float. Both mom and I grabbed out spoon too, so that we could help.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIDDO! Its been an awesome ride so far...
so I'm back from Vegas, and back to work and reality.
I had a BLAST! I got to see Hoover Dam, it was amazing. I got to see a show (Cirque du Soleil) at Treasure Island. can i say, WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW.. I'm dying to see another one already.
Did some shopping, site seeing, and very little gambling ( I just threw what I did gamble into the machines anyways)

I do have some pictures, but they are still on the camera currently, so I will post more when I get them onto my computer.

J is a Big 13 today... He comes home from Gpa and Gmas this afternoon.
will update more later...
